INCOMING 7TH GRADE IMMUNIZATIONS:

REMINDERS:
As we move through the semester, please help us remind students about a few important campus expectations. Students should come to school dressed appropriately for PE, including wearing or bringing proper athletic shoes. Please also remember that shorts must be mid-thigh length and shirts must fully cover the mid-section (no midriff/stomachs showing).
Additionally, Nee Doh fidgets have recently become a distraction during class, so please do not send these items with your child to school. Thank you for your help in supporting a focused learning environment!

DAILY ATTENDANCE:
China Spring Intermediate has set a goal to achieve 97% or higher attendance every day. We will be striving for 97% attendance every week this year!
Our attendance this week was just below our goal of 97%! Our overall attendance rate was 96.99%. Let's see if we can get it back to 97% next week! BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our 5th grade for reaching our 97% goal with an average attendance of 97.03%! Please continue reminding your child of simple ways to prevent the spread of germs, such as washing hands often, covering coughs and sneezes, and keeping hands away from their face. We truly miss our students when they’re not here, and we’re looking forward to having everyone back next week!
ATTENDANCE INCENTIVES:
Wheel of Names: Students with perfect attendance will go on a wheel of names for a chance to get a scratch off to win prizes on campus
At the end of each month, any student who has perfect attendance for that month will be entered in a drawing to win an Owala water bottle.
Students with perfect attendance at the end of each 9 weeks will earn 10 points for their house.
Stay tuned for more attendance incentives.
ATTENDANCE REMINDERS:
90% Law ~ The state of Texas requires students to be present 90% of the school year in order to receive credit for their current grade level.
Daily attendance ~ Attendance is taken every day at 9:30AM. Your student must be on campus at this time to be counted present for the day.
When absent ~ Only 4 days total per semester can be excused by a PARENT NOTE (parent signed excuse). For all absences exceeding 4, a doctor's note or other formal documentation is required.
All excuse notes must be turned in to the Front Office within 3 school days of the student’s absence.
If your child will not be at school, please let our attendance clerk, Mrs. Fulton, know at afulton@chinaspringisd.net
Attendance tracking looks at whole and partial day absences. Partial day absences include arriving at school late or leaving early without a medical excuse or one of the four parent notes for the semester.
