CLASSLINK:

ClassLink is our district’s single sign-on platform that gives students one secure place to log in and access all of their digital learning resources, programs, and more without needing multiple passwords.

STEERED STRAIGHT PRESENTATION (6TH ONLY):

China Spring ISD will host assemblies on Oct. 9 with Steered Straight, a nationally recognized organization that educates students on the dangers of vaping and drug use. Parents must submit the assembly consent form by Oct. 8 for their child to attend. A Parent Assembly will be held Oct. 9 from 6:00–7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, giving parents/guardians the opportunity to hear directly from Steered Straight and learn how to support students in making safe, healthy choices.

Steered Straight Consent Form

GT PARENT MEETING:

Parents interested in learning more about the CSISD Gifted and Talented program are invited to join us on Tuesday, September 30th from 6:00-7:00pm at the Elementary School GT room (103).  This meeting is for prospective parents whose child(ren) do/does not already participate in GT services.

DRESS CODE CHANGE:

CSISD has made a change to the dress code below:

Hemlines on all dresses, skirts, and shorts must not be shorter than mid-thigh length (from the shortest part of the garment) and must also ensure full coverage of the buttocks and/or undergarments at all times, including when sitting, standing, walking, or bending. Students should be able to participate in all regular school activities without risk of exposing any part of the buttocks or undergarments. Shorts may not be rolled up at the waistline. When wearing shorts, the shorts must be visible.

Students are expected to be in dress code according the district policy. Students will be given the opportunity to rectify their dress if they are out of code. Students who do not rectify will be sent to ISS until their dress is back in code. To view the dress code policy please CLICK HERE.

ATTENDANCE REMINDER:
  • All excuses must be turned in within 3 days of returning back to school.

  • Parens are allowed 4 parent excuses a semester.

  • If your child will not be at school, please let our attendance clerk, Mrs. Fulton, know at afulton@chinaspringisd.net

STICKER FUNDRAISER:

Our Sticker Fundraiser kicks off on October 1st! Each homeroom will compete to see who can raise the most money by filling up a picture with stickers — each sticker costs just $0.25. The top three classes with the most money raised will win a prize! Please see our flyer HERE.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE:

October 24th is one of our designated parent teacher conference days. If you are interested in a parent teacher conference, please email your child's teacher to get it set up on that day. If at any time you have questions about your child's performance, please email the teacher and they will be happy to collaborate with you.

IPAD CARE AND HEADPHONE NEEDS:

We appreciate your support in helping students take care of their district-issued iPads. Please remind your child to handle their device responsibly by:

  • Carrying it carefully and not using it while walking in the hallway.

  • Keeping their passcode private and not sharing it with others.

  • Treating the iPad gently to prevent damage.

In addition, all students need USB-C headphones to use with their iPads. If your child already has headphones with a different connection, inexpensive adapters are available so you do not need to purchase a brand-new set.

VATRE INFORMATION MEETINGS:

China Spring ISD is hosting a series of Information Meetings about the upcoming Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE). Superintendent Dr. Marc Faulkner will review how school funding works, the impact of theVATRE on the school tax rate, and the ballot language voters will see in November.
