Book Fair

China Spring Intermediate PTA has 160 members signed up as of now, and 75 of that 160, are students.  With around 670 students in the school, we had hoped for a lot more involvement this year.  We encourage parents, students, and teachers to sign up to help make our PTA successful in supporting our school this year.

Book Fair

The China Spring Intermediate Fall Book Fair is being held this week! Volunteers are still needed in order to make this happen. If you are interested in helping, please email Mrs. Lafferty at

Food for Families

We will be starting the Food for Families Monday, Oct 17th.  Please help us make this year’s food drive a successful one! We will be collecting food from Monday, Oct 17th – Friday, Nov 11th.  Here is a list of items that are needed:

Education Foundation 10th Anniversary Celebration

The China Spring ISD Education Foundation is hosting a fundraiser concert featuring Holly Tucker!  All proceeds will be used for innovative teacher grants for the classroom & for senior scholarships for students. Join us Saturday, October 22 at 7pm in the Performing Arts Center @ the Middle School. See flyer attached for all the details!

Fall Benchmarks

Just a friendly reminder that Fall Benchmark testing is around the corner.  Attendance is very important during this time, so make sure your child is here for these tests.  The dates for testing is November 1st, 2nd, & the 8th.

Please note: the students are allowed to dress up at school on Monday, October 31st for Halloween. However, this year’s theme is Dress as your Future Career.  If your child would like to participate, please make sure their costume is tailored to what they want to be when they grow up. Always remember, there are no masks or weapons allowed at school, and absolutely no clown costumes.

There has been a lot of talk on campus recently about the clown issue that is currently in the news.  We addressed their fears by ensuring their safety here at school or at any school event.  We have increased our security, but please take some time this weekend to remind your child basic safety tips, such as, not talking to strangers, seeking out an adult if they feel unsafe, and being aware of their surroundings.  The world can be a scary place, and there will always be something that brings fear, but our mission is to make sure your child feels safe and loved.

The China Spring Theater department will be performing Pirates of Penzance. All students at the Intermediate School will be given a chance to attend on November 3rd. We are asking for each student to bring $2.00 to help with the cost of this fun experience. Public Performances will be Oct. 30th @ 3pm & Nov. 1st, 3rd, & 5th @ 7pm. Please see the attached document for more information and a chance to order tickets and a commemorative t-shirt. Arrrrgggg.

Box Tops for Education

We are still collecting Box Tops! This year, all money collected from our Box Tops goes directly to your child’s homeroom teacher! So cut those Box Tops out and send them to school with your child.
